Guarantee
Computer Food stands by the product it sells. We have been Consumables specialists for many years and to stay in business we know we must sell only a reliable product. This is why we believe we have the best guarantee in New Zealand and we call it our No Risk guarantee, which applies to all our remanufactured and compatible Inkjet and Laser cartridges (not ink refill kits).
Our NO RISK Guarantee on Compatible or Remanufactured Cartridges:
For our retail customers, we guarantee that our compatible or remanufactured cartridges will work completely to your satisfaction and it will not damage your printer.
Subject to the conditions below, if you are not satisfied with our product, we will give you 100% of your money back or send you a replacement. If the cartridge damages your printer, we will fix it for no charge or replace it with an equivalent model of the same or better specifications. No other competitor we know of offers such a comprehensive guarantee.
Unlike many competitors there are no hidden costs or hurdles to getting a refund:
- We don't make you pay to ship cartridge back to us, if this is required.
- We don't make you keep the receipt to get a refund, although we do need to confirm details of your purchase.
- We don't only give you 30 days to return a product
We only have four reasonable conditions:
- In some cases, you may have to return the cartridge that you want replaced or your money refunded and there must still be at least 30% of the ink or toner remaining.
- You must contact us prior to contacting any service agent or repairer.
- We cannot guarantee any printer or cartridge where that cartridge was purchased longer than 12 months ago.
- Repairs or replacement printers are limited up to the value $1000 + gst.
What to do if you have a problem?
If your printer has any problems and you think it might be caused by any of our cartridges, contact us. We will advise you on what you can do.

Other items we sell, such as OEM (Original) consumables from Brother, HP, Epson or Canon and Hardware such as Mice and Keyboards are covered by the manufacturer's factory warranty. This varies between each manufacturer so contact us for any clarification.
Note with many Printers we sell we often supply compatible inks, toners or labels that are not supplied by the original Manufacturer. While we guarantee these cartridges (see above), we cannot guarantee that they will always be available due to potential supply constraints and manufacturer firmware alterations.
Using aftermarket compatible consumables may impact your printer's warranty or guarantee with the manufacturer. Always check the manufacturer's terms and conditions before making a purchase of aftermarket compatible consumables. Reach out to us if unsure.
Please note that the consumables sold by ComputerFood are designed to work only with printers bought in New Zealand. If your printer is from another region, our consumables (whether original or compatible) might not work because of different firmware region settings in the printer's software.
Refunds
We will provide a full refund for any product that is returned unopened and in original condition within 14 days less a small restock fee to cover shipping costs. For any returns after this time, please contact ComputerFood. In most cases we are able to provide a credit although a restocking fee may also apply.
